I am from New Orleans Louisiana, where my father’s military career lead us to San Antonio Texas in the early 2000s. I received a Bachelor’s of Science in Fashion Merchandising. My career after college began in the nonprofit world where I worked with the Boy Scouts of America and Communities in School. I later married my High School sweetheart and began my career in education with Corpus Christi Independent School District. There I taught for two years. One as a 4^th grade ELA teacher and a 6^th  grade RLA Teacher and Coach. While in Corpus, my husband retired from the United States Navy and we relocated to Plano Texas where my parents and younger siblings lived. Here in Plano, I began teaching 6^th grade Science in 2023 at Bowman Middle School.
