Mrs. Allison Garrison
This is my 25th year teaching (all Art, all high school and all in Plano ISD), and this is my sixth year teaching at Plano Senior. I absolutely love being a part of this campus and all of its traditions. Go Cats!! Although rooted in tradition, every day is new and exciting...which is awesome! Sharing what I love doing (creating art) and watching my students grow artistically as well as indvidually is what I enjoy the most. Just can't beat it!! I can't imagine doing anything else day to day.
I grew up in the Dallas area, then went to Texas Tech (Wreck 'em!) for my undergraduate degree, earning a BFA in Visual Arts with K-12 Art Education Certification. After teaching a few years I started working on my Masters degree and earned a MAT (Masters of Art in Teaching) in Aesthetics of Visual Studies from UT Dallas.
My life outside of school includes my husband and son (10 years old). My son attends a Plano elementary school. One of his favorite things is to come to the Senior High and see what the "big kids" are making and doing! My personal art (when I have time...ha!) is typically mixed media that includes painting, drawing and collage.
I am currently teaching AP Drawing and AP 2D Design. I am also the Art Department Chair for PSHS Visual Arts and the sponsor for our campus' National Art Honor Society.

Additionally, students may come work during their lunch on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I am often available able on Mondays after school as well. If students need to work in addition to these times, they are welcome to ask about scheduling and making arrangements.
