This is my seventh year teaching science courses at Plano Senior High, after several years in the US Navy and a number of strange and interesting side gigs. I'm a native North Texan originally from Garland, and I have loved science and exploring the world through scientific understanding all my life. I am happy to have the opportunity to share that passion with my students. I graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a dual Bachelor of Science in Geology and Biology, and I am certified in Texas to teach all science courses from 8th to 12th grade.
In my Environmental Science classes, students learn about the ecology of the natural world and how human activity impacts it, with special attention to how our decisions and actions in the past, present, and future affect the planet and our place on it. I hope to guide my students toward being a part of a positive and sustainable future.
