Mr. Neil Milburn

Born and educated in England; Acklam Hall Grammar School and University of Leeds (1968-1972) where I graduated with an Honors Degree In Chemical Engineering. I spent thirty plus years in private industry doing engineering company start-ups and turnarounds before "retiring" in 2003. I decided to take up teaching to payback the teachers who got me interested in all things science.

I taught IB and APC Physics at Plano East for six years before returning to industry to work on a NASA Lunar Lander program (Project Morpheus). I then retired again and began teaching AP Chemistry at Plano West. 2019-2020 will be my seventh and final year teaching before I retired again ... and return to the aerospace industry!

My bride of 45 plus years and I have three sons (all Plano graduates) the eldest in education, the second a banker and the third an MD MBA with a specialty in sports medicine. In turn they have provided us with seven grandsons and two granddaughters.

In my spare time I consult in the aerospace industry (launch licensing, safety and trajectory analysis) and any time I have left I spend hiking and climbing in the Colorado Rockies.

BTW, the other guy in the photo is Neil Armstrong ... yes THAT Neil Armstrong!
