Mr. Joshua Michaelis
Joshua Michaelis teaches Sixth grade Science as well as leading the CTE (Career & Technical Education) program at Armstrong. The CTE program at Armstrong offers four classes (offered various semesters); Gateway to Technology (PLTW), Audio Visual Arts & Communication, Introduction to Computer Technology, and Fundamentals of Computer Science. In addition to his teaching duties, Mr. Michaelis is the coach of Armstrong's First Lego League Robotics Team. This is his sixth year at Armstrong.
Before becoming an educator, Joshua worked as a social worker in London, England. While in London, he worked with children and their school, as well as children and families who had experienced adoption.
Mr. Michaelis loves nothing more than learning something new. He is a lifelong learner and passionate about many subjects. Mr. Michaelis loves baseball, travelling, and enjoys a good dad joke.
