Ms. Castillo graduated with a Bachelor of Education degree Majoring in Early Childhood Education awarded by USA University with regional accreditation. She has 15 years of experience in Special Education, all at Hughston Elementary. In 2010 she was awarded the Collin County Autisim Award, and in 2019 was nominated for the Superintendent's Service Award. She believes that every child should be valued and treated with respect. She believes that children learn when we model those behaviors that we expect for them to acquire. She is proud to be a part of the Special Education team and the families we serve at Hughston Elementary. She is very excited to start another year at Hughston...the greatest school in the district.
