My name is Sherry Green and I am a fourth grade teacher at Haun Elementary.  This is my 22nd year at Haun.  I am a native Texan who was born in Galveston many years ago. I grew up in an educational family.  My dad and mom and brother were all teachers and/or principals.  Early in life I developed a love for reading, but I also enjoy traveling, gardening and watching the urban wildlife (possums, raccoons, and grey foxes) in my neighborhood .  Of course, I am a cat lover and currently have four fur babies - Peek-a-Boo, Little Bit, Gracie and Julius.  Teaching is my passion.  I love to see my students grow throughout the year.  My goal is to nurture a love for learning in each child that I teach.
