I teach fabulous First Grade at Mendenhall and I love it! First Grade is a special year - so much growth and learning happens!
I grew up in beautiful, sunny Arizona, and received my undergraduate degree in Family Studies at the University of Arizona. During this time, I developed a passion for early childhood development, which led me to the University of Texas at Dallas, where I received a M.S. degree in Human Development and Early Childhood Disorders, and then into teaching in Plano ISD.
I began as a special education teacher at Isaacs ECS, where I also taught ESL and Full Day PreK classes. Following my time there, I became a Mendenhall Longhorn!
I am looking forward to going on an exciting learning journey with our First Graders this year!
