Mrs. Kyla Ahnemann

My name is Kyla Ahnemann and this is my seventeenth year teaching with all of them here at Skaggs! I taught 4th grade for seven of those years and 5th grade for two.  I am excited to continue my teaching adventure, guiding our PACE stars to reach their fullest potential for my eighth year. 

I graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2006 and received a Masters degree in Educational Psychology with a concentration in Gifted and Talented Education from the University of North Texas in December of 2021.  My husband and I have been married for 17 years and enjoy the busy life that our 3 kiddos (Blaine-9th grade, Carter-8th grade, and Taylor-4th grade), 3 dogs, and 10 fish bring us.

    1. Notify your child’s teacher or the campus gifted specialist.
    2. Complete an online referral packet found at https://www.pisd.edu/giftededucation
    3. If your student participated in a gifted program at their previous school, please contact the Gifted Specialist for the next steps.

    Referral packets are due October 21 by 5 PM.
