Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Sara Wheatley
Greetings! My name is Sara Wheatley and I am pleased to be the 8th grade school counselor at Frankford Middle School. This will be my 3rd year at Frankford Middle School. Before coming here, I lived in Slidell, Louisiana, where I was a school counselor for 8 years at a 4th-8th grade school. Prior to that, I was a 4th grade teacher for 7 years. I went to LSU for some of my undergrad (GEAUX TIGERS!), obtained my elementary education degree from the University of New Orleans, and graduated with my Master's in Counseling from Southeastern Louisiana University. I am a National Board Certified Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor.
I am married to the love of my life, Trey, who was the reason we moved to the wonderful state of Texas due to a job promotion, and am so blessed we did! I have a 4 year old boy named Luke and a baby girl named Addison. We love the outdoors and are die-hard sports fans...mainly baseball (GO ATLANTA BRAVES!) and football (GO CAROLINA PANTHERS and LSU TIGERS!).
As a school counselor at Frankford Middle School, I strive to be a student advocate and provide needed resources by cultivating positive relationships within the school environment, with parents, and community organizations. My goal is to provide a nurturing, orderly, safe, and harrassment-free learning environment. My hope, with the help of parents, teachers, and the community, is for all students to be highly productive, emotionally adjusted, contributing members of society.
