Hi Haun Huskies!

My name is Rachel Rice and I grew up here in Plano, Texas! I graduated from Plano East and went on to get my degree from Texas Tech. Wreck 'Em Tech! After I graduated, I began my teaching career in Garland ISD teaching kindergarten and first grade. In 2016 I came back home to Plano teaching at the best school ever, Haun!

This is my tenth year teaching and I am so proud to be a Haun Husky. I love getting to know my students and building relationships with them. My favorite subject is reading. I love watching my students fall in love with reading and become more confident in their reading skills. I believe our class is a home away from home and want students to know they are a part of our classroom family!

Outside of school I am currently working on getting my degree in school counseling. I enjoy spending time with my husband and baby girl, going to the lake, swimming, and learning new healthy recipes! 

I am thrilled to start my sixth year at Haun in 3rd grade!
