Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Robin Stokes
On the journey to become the dyslexia specialist that I am today, I attended Texas A&M-Commerce to obtain my Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with an Emphasis in Elementary Education. I found quickly that not only did I enjoy teaching students to learn, however, I wanted to continue learning and growing professionally as well. Four years later, I earned my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a Reading emphasis through Grand Canyon University. Currently, I am completing my 2nd year of Take Flight training and will be seeking my certification as an Academic Language Therapist in the near future.
While this will be my sixth year at Stinson Elementary, overall, it will be my 12th year in Plano ISD, and my 15th year to teach.
Quoting Josh Shipp, "every kid is one caring adult away from being a success story". I believe this with my whole heart, and absolutely love believing in our Stinson Stars, so that they, too, can believe in themselves.
