    • Change Upload Settings to convert uploaded documents to Google Docs format
      • Click the gear at the top right of the Google Drive home page, then click Settings.
      • Check the box next to "Convert uploaded files to Google Docs editor format" then click Done.
      • You only have to do this one time, ever.

    • File Management 

      • Upload a single File from your H: or S: drive by clicking New > File upload
      • Upload a Folder from your H: or S: drive by clicking New > Folder upload
      • Move folders/files by clicking and dragging
      • Create a folder by clicking New > Folder
      • Change the color of a Google Drive folder by right-clicking > Change color
      • E-mail/sharing
        • no longer attaching a doc to an email
        • attaching an email address to the doc
      • Deleting Item vs. Delete Forever in Google
    • Creating a Google Doc

      • Click New > Google Doc (or Google Sheets or Google Slides)
      • Blank doc comes up in a new window
      • Each doc has its own (very long) web address instead of a file extension
    • Add content to the doc
      • Name the doc by clicking the words Untitled Document
      • Type as usual. Note that you don't have some of the formatting options you might be used to in Word.
      • On the menu bar, click Arial > More fonts to add cute fonts to choose from 
      • All content is saved automatically in real time
    • Share the doc with others
      • Click the blue Share button at top right of doc
      • Type the person's email address
      • Use the edit pencil next to the name field to allow the person to edit, comment, or view
