What is Naviance Student?
Students in grades 6 - 12 have access to the Naviance program. Parents and students may know the program by the name Family Connection. The Naviance program will have a new look this August and will be called Naviance Student. Naviance Student makes it easier and more engaging than ever for students to answer the four most important questions that shape their future: Who am I? What do I want to be? How will I get there? and How will I succeed? The new mobile-friendly design delivers the power of Naviance to students’ fingertips with familiar and intuitive tools that personalize and simplify the college and career planning process.
What can my student do on the Naviance Student program?
Students are able to access a comprehensive database with current information on hundreds of careers and colleges. Favorite career clusters, careers and colleges can be saved in the student's account for further investigation. Students are also able to take a variety of career assessments, build a resume, set goals, create high school course plans and much more! Junior and Senior students request teacher and counselor recommendations and request transcripts to be sent to colleges through Naviance Student. Scholarship opportunities and summer enrichment opportunities Counselors provide classroom guidance that is designed to walk students through the process of investigating and making decisions about their futures.
