College(s): I attended Ohio University for my undergraduate work and The University of North Texas for my masters.

Teaching History: I began teaching in Ohio, where I taught 4th grade. I then moved to Texas where I have taught both 4th and 5th grades. I have taught in Waco ISD, Plano ISD, and McKinney ISD. I am so thrilled to be a Huffman Hawk!

Family: My husband, Rob and I have two daughters. One is 19 and a sophomore at Oklahoma State University. We also have a 16 year old who is an 11th grader at McKinney North High School. 

Interests/Hobbies Outside of School: One of my very favorite hobbies is to READ!!!!! I love to spend time with my family whenever I can. 

Why did you want to start the IB PYP at Huffman? I am so excited to learn and work with the IB scholars at Huffman. I love that the IB PYP philosophy is not just to LEARN, but to find out how to put that learning into ACTION.
