I began my career in education 16 years ago when I moved to Plano after graduating as a first-generation graduate from Texas Lutheran University. Since then, I've taught 2nd grade bilingual for 5 years and moved on to become a bilingual/ESL Specialist where I've served as an ESL specialist in elementary for 9 years.
My passion for bilingual education and international studies is rooted in my years teaching in children's ministries and leading mission work internationally. I was blessed with the opportunity to live and study abroad in Spain and Costa Rica, where I learned Spanish as a second language. These experiences continue to create connections and foster strong relationships with my students and their families.
I'm thrilled to serve as Renner's ESL department chair and EB coach for the 2nd year and lead our team as we support the largest ESL population in Plano. I'm thankful for the daily opportunity to nurture, enrich, and celebrate diversity, language, and culture among my students.
