¡Hola estudiantes y familias! Mi nombre es Marisela Báez Cortes, y enseño Lectura/Escritura, Estudios Sociales y Ciencias como maestra bilingüe de quinto grado.

Nací y crecí en Fort Worth, TX. Me gradué de la Universidad del Norte de Texas en Denton en 2018. Tengo una licenciatura en estudios interdisciplinarios en educación primaria con un complemento bilingüe. Este será mi quinto año enseñando en educación bilingüe y mi primer año en Plano ISD.

¡Estoy feliz de ser parte de Mendenhall Elementary y de poder enseñar a sus hijos(a)! Sobre todo, estoy entusiasmado con la construcción de relaciones con todos mis estudiantes y sus familias.

Hello students and families! My name is Marisela Báez Cortes, and I teach ELA, Social Studies and Science as a 5th grade Bilingual teacher. 

I was born and raised in Fort Worth, TX. I graduated from the University of North Texas at Denton in 2018. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in Elementary Education with a bilingual supplement. This will be my 5th year teaching in bilingual education, and my first year at Plano ISD. 

I am happy to be part of Mendenhall Elementary, and to be able to teach your children! Most of all, I am excited about building relationships with all my students and their families.
