Mr. Thomas Martinez

I am a graduate of the University of North Texas where I received my BFA in Printmaking.  I have been teaching in Plano for 14 years, and have taught in the Plano summer programs, and now teach summer camps in Dallas.  I am split between the campuses of Clark and McMillen and have taught multiple sections on both campuses for the last 6 years.  I pride myself on making postive connections with students and providing them a chance to explore their creativity without fear of failure.  I am married with two children ages 11 and 12, and enjoy spending time watching them at home and watching them participate in their extracurricular activities.  I am a working artist and continually apply for shows throughout the U.S.  Most recently I have had work displayed in Philadelphia and Chicago, and have done performances and installation works in Dallas and St. Louis.  I am a member of Southern Graphics Coucil, and continue to take classes at a local community college to keep up studio practices.  I have created posters for BDB youth basketball organization and Trumpets4kids, and orgainization that donates trumpets for sudents in need.
