Meeting Welcome

The meeting opened at 6:06 PM with a welcome, and review of the norms, charge and agenda by Dr. Ken Helvey from N2Learning.

Agenda

Deputy Superintendent for Business and Employee Services, Johnny Hill outlined the meeting with other Plano ISD leadership and reviewed the homework given to administration during the March meeting; look at all schools to balance capacities while keeping feeder patterns in tact. Deputy Superintendent for Teaching, Learning and Life Readiness, Lisa Wilson,  reviewed SPED, Bilingual and IB programs with the committee.

Table Group Work

Many discussions arose among the group for each cluster.  Polls were then taken and the committee reached a consensus on both East and Central Cluster changes. Consensus on the West cluster was not as strong, prompting a need for further study.

Next Steps

Plano ISD Administration has been tasked with further study of the West cluster.  The committee was instructed to use the QR codes given to them in their packets to ask any additional questions should they arise.  The committee was also instructed to periodically check the FAQ page on the Long Range Facility Planning website to review information updates
