FIRST Tech Challenge

FIRST® Tech Challenge (Grades 7-12)

Plano ISD has 16 FIRST® Tech Challenge Teams (FTC) teams on 11 middle school, high school, and senior high school campuses.  An FTC team works together to:

  • Design, build, program, and operate 18” x 18” robots
  • Play a floor game in an alliance format
  • Develop STEM skills and practice engineering principles
  • Innovate and collaborate and work hard to solve a complex challenge
  • Raise funds, market their team, positively impact our community
