Online CBE Resources: Avant - LOTE Tests
Online CBE Resources - Avant LOTE Tests
Plano ISD students will take their Languages Other Than English (LOTE) Credit by Exam (CBE) tests remotely from home through the AVANT Language Proficiency Assessment Platform. Most AVANT tests include four sections: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. All sections of the adaptive test must be completed before the exam can be submitted for scoring.
The Listening and Reading sections are adaptive, meaning the difficulty of questions adjusts as the student progresses. This allows students to demonstrate proficiency up to Level 4 within a single test session. Students have up to three hours to complete all four sections (Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking).
Avant Testing Rules
Review the Avant Remote Testing Rules section of the AvantProctor Test Taker Guide.
Remote test takers are responsible for both the remote testing rules and the General Avant Testing Rules.
