Career and Technical Education

Plano ISD offers over 30 Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs of study, giving students hands-on learning and real-world experiences that prepare them for college, careers, and beyond. Starting in 7th grade, CTE provides opportunities for students to gain knowledge and skills they may use in high school, college, a career after graduation, and/or as a financial means to help further their education. In CTE programs, students blend academic and career skills, explore work-based learning, and gain valuable industry-based certifications that set them apart. CTE is where passion meets opportunity - helping every student graduate future-ready.

Supported by the community's investment, we are building a state-of-the-art CTE Center while continuing to expand programs across the district. Browse our website to learn more about CTE Programs of Study and explore the Plano ISD CTE Center.

It is the policy of Plano ISD not to discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex or handicap in its vocational programs, services or activities as required by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended; Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972; and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended. Plano ISD will take steps to ensure that lack of English language skills will not be a barrier to admission and participation in all educational programs and services.
