The Plano ISD Health Sciences Academy (HSA) is an exciting four-year program for students interested in pursuing a future in the healthcare field.  Health Science Academy students are prepared to enter the healthcare field upon graduation and earn college credit hours to enable them to advance in a college or university.

The Plano ISD Health Sciences Academy (HSA) is a four-year program. Students may earn workforce dual credit in partnership with Collin College and/or complete a Plano ISD pathway in biomedical sciences.  Through the Collin College partnership, HSA students have the opportunity to earn workforce dual credit in a healthcare track, academic dual credit, and industry-based certifications in a healthcare field.  Additionally, students have the opportunity to earn an Associates of Applied Science Degree or Associates of Science from Collin College.

HSA students attend Williams High school for 9th and 10th grades and Plano East High school for 11th and 12th grade. HSA students enjoy the same opportunities at Williams and Plano East as all other students and may participate in all activities offered at each school, including athletics, fine arts, and clubs/organizations.

Students in the HSA work with state-of-the-art equipment and are connected to our local medical community through guest speakers, field trips and clinical placements in skilled-based classes.
