Selection Process

Current 8th Grade Students

Complete the selection form by 5:00 pm on November 10, 2025.  A lottery will be held for the available seats in the program. 

Current 9th Grade Students  

Students interested in joining the HSA during their 10th grade year, current 9th graders, will need to fill out the selection form by November 10, 2025.  A lottery will be held for the available seats in the program.

In order to gain the knowledge necessary to participate in the HSA, current 9th graders must take the following course during the summer at their own expense:

  • HITT 1201: Introduction to Health Professions

The Academy Programs of Plano application opens on October 1, 2025 at 9 AM and closes on November 10,  2025 at 5 PM.  When you are ready to apply, click on the application link in the 2026-2027 Application Portal located on the Academy Programs of Plano page.
