Food and Nutritional Services participates in the National School Breakfast and Lunch Programs which are governed by the United States Department of Agriculture.

• Ensure efficient use of financial resources.
• Ensure compliance of local, state, and federal regulations.
• Provide support for optimal campus operations.
• Maintain communication with the district, local businesses and surrounding communities through quality customer service and open communication.

Funding

Plano Independent School District, Food and Nutritional Service is 100% self-supporting and does not receive local tax support. The only sources of revenue are from federal and state reimbursements, money paid by students and adults. These revenues pay for labor, benefits, food, supplies, equipment, and repairs.
