Employee Handbook
The Plano ISD Employee Handbook provides employees with a clear understanding of the organization's policies, procedures, expectations, and values. This handbook is neither a contract nor a substitute for the official District policy manual. Rather, it is a guide to and explanation of District policies and procedures related to employment. It serves as a comprehensive guide that outlines the rights and responsibilities of both the employer and the employees, ensuring consistency and fairness in the workplace. The handbook also helps employees navigate important topics such as workplace conduct, benefits, safety protocols, and disciplinary procedures. By setting clear standards, the handbook promotes a professional and respectful work environment while supporting legal compliance and organizational efficiency.
Important: The Employee Handbook will continue to be informed by the updates and clarifications provided as a result of the 89th legislative session. Significant updates to the handbook will be communicated to staff in a timely manner. All staff are expected to comply with any updates as they are communicated.
