Program Overview

The QuEST Program—short for Quality Education for Successful Teaching—offers two distinct pathways for individuals to earn a Bachelor of Science degree and Texas teacher certification through partnerships with Teachworthy and Indiana Wesleyan University. The program supports:

  • Current Plano ISD classroom paraprofessionals who don’t yet hold a bachelor’s degree (Degree Seeker Track). 
  • High school seniors in Plano ISD who wish to pursue a career in education (Career Seeker Track).

Participants engage in a blend of customized coursework—Plano ISD–developed, Teachworthy modules, and IWU courses—along with on-the-job classroom experience.
