Library Services

Learning Media Services provides support and leadership to campus librarians in the implementation of inquiry-based learning environments for students and staff. Support includes professional development and training, management of library systems and digital platforms for library resources, collaboration in the re-design and renovation of library spaces, facilitation in acquisition and and processing of resources, and delivery of library materials to the campuses.
Mission
Plano ISD Libraries are committed to fostering a welcoming environment that inspires students to become lifelong readers and empowers them with the information literacy skills necessary to navigate a dynamic world.
Selection of Library Materials
In compliance with state law and to keep the process transparent, all library books, whether donated or requested for purchase, must be approved by the Plano ISD School Board. Before each board meeting, the proposed titles are posted here for public review for at least 30 days.
Parents, students, and/or community members are welcome to ask questions or provide feedback on materials list. If you would like to provide feedback on a title, please email the Director of Learning Media Services with the book's title, author, and your specific feedback. All comments received within this 30 day time period will be reviewed and considered prior to finalizing the purchase.
Note: All ISBN formats (paperback, hardcover, ebook, audiobook, etc.) will be applied for each individual title.
