What is Plaza Comunitaria?
The Plaza Comunitaria is an Adult Education program for any adult Spanish speaker to continue their education in their native language: Spanish
Upon completion, the student will receive an official certificate of level completion from the National Institute of Adult Education (INEA) of the Public Secretary of Education (SEP) in Mexico. Each certificate has full curriculas value.

Who is eligible to attend?
- Any native Spanish speaker 17 years old & older
High School Equivalency (HSE) in Spanish: i.e., GED
This Adult Education program is for any Spanish-speaking adult needing to prepare to take the HSE test (e.g., GED, HiSET, TASK) in their native language: Spanish. When ready, students will take the tests at any testing center of their choosing.
Upon successful completion of the tests, they will receive an official HSE certificate from the Texas Adult Education (TAE) agency.
Who is eligible to attend?
- Any native Spanish-speaker (17 years old or older) who has completed middle school - (9th grade) or higher
