Plaza Comunitaria

What is Plaza Comunitaria?

Plaza Comunitaria is an Adult Education program for Spanish-speaking adults who want to continue their education in their native language, Spanish.

Upon completion, students will receive an official certificate of level completion from the National Institute of Adult Education (INEA) of the Public Secretary of Education (SEP) in Mexico. Each certificate has full curricular value.

High School Equivalency (HSE) in English or Spanish: GED

This Adult Education program is for any English-speaker or Spanish-speaking adult needing to prepare to take the GED test in their native language: English or Spanish.  

When ready, students will take the tests at any testing center of their choosing.

Upon successful completion of the tests, they will receive an official GED certificate from the Texas Adult Education (TAE) agency.

Who is Eligible to Attend?

• Any native English-speaker or Spanish-speaker (17 years old or older) who has completed middle school - (9th grade) or higher

• 17 years or older

• Completed middle school (9th grade) or higher
