Welcome to the Two-Way Dual Language Program!

Overview

The Plano ISD Two-Way Dual Language Immersion Program is a bilingual/biliteracy program model in which students identified as English Learners are integrated with students who are proficient in English. The goal of the two-way dual language immersion program is for participants to attain full proficiency in Spanish as well as English. This model provides ongoing instruction in literacy and academic content in English and Spanish with at least half of the instruction delivered in Spanish for the duration of the program. The first year of implementation, the program will begin with the kindergarten class.
