Emergency Response
Plano ISD adopted the Standard Response Protocol (SRP), a nationally-recognized emergency response methodology that is action-based, flexible, uniform response by staff, students and visitors to school-based emergencies.
About SRP
The "I Love U Guys Foundation" a non-profit organization, developed Standard Response Protocol for implementation within K-12 and university education settings. Texas School Safety Center (TxSSC), the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and the Governor of Texas endorse SRP. By standardizing the vocabulary, all stakeholders understand the response and status of the event.
