Degrees and Certifications:

BFA University of North Texas in Interior Design

Ms. Kerry Kirpach

Welcome and thank you for visiting my page! I started my career in Pre Med at Baylor University, then an unexpected trip to Europe changed my life. I returned to Texas, changed universities, degrees, career goals and completed my BFA from the University of North Texas. I worked in commercial architecture for over four years, received my Interior Design license, and promptly started working on my teaching certification. I'm now in my thirteenth year in education and I know I could not have made a better decision, or taken a different path to get here. I have been happily married for 16 years to another educator, no children, just lots of random pets, hobbies and adventures.

This is my passion, teaching AP Art History is the most rewarding job I could ever imagine. I love to ignite the curiosity within my students and have as many moments of wonder and awe as possible. This course allows us to connect on a deep, human level, and have a blast doing so, all the while learning about art, culture, civilizations and humanity. I love connecting Art History to other courses and I'm always on the hunt for new ways to make those connections. Every year I look forward to sharing this passion with new students and staying connected with former students. I am big on communication, kindness, empathy and creating safe spaces for everyone - students, teachers and parents alike, so please do not hesitate to contact me throughout the year!
