Mrs. Aubrey Nuckels

Special Education Teacher

Experience in Education: I taught Pre-K through 5th grade for 7 years.  I stepped away from teaching to become a foster/adoptive parent. After my older children entered middle school, I began grad school and working as a paraprofessional. I graduated with an M. Ed. and a passion to continue working with students receiving academic support. I am so excited to join the Hunt Elementary family!

Background: I grew up in Rhode Island and went to college in Texas. I married my college sweetheart and we have five fabulous children.

Interests: I like to run half marathons, watch movies, and spend time with my family.

“But how do we make goodness attractive? By doing whatever we can to bring courage to those whose lives move near our own. By treating our neighbor at least as well as we treat ourselves. And allowing that to inform everything that we produce. “ -Fred Rogers

“Love your neighbor as yourself. “ -Jesus

“Love cannot remain by itself – it has no meaning. Love has to be put into action, and that action is service.” -Mother Teresa
