Ms. Adriana Martinez-Mendoza

I was born in Mexico and studied Fine Arts in Universidad de las Américas, Puebla. I have been teaching formally since 2000, after completing an MFA in sculpture from TCU. I worked as adjunct faculty for the Fine Arts Department in my alma mater until 2007 before coming to Texas for a second time, to study an MA in Art Education. I have been teaching in public schools since 2014 and this is my second year at PSHS, teaching studio art and AP Art History. Previously, I taught three years at McMillen High School.

I live in Plano with my 15 y-old son who will be a sophomore at Clark HS this year. We have three birds as pets, they are loud and fun! I am looking forward to another school year of learning and enjoying conversations with my students in the classroom.
