I teach 7th grade Honors English and English 8 at Otto Middle School. My experience spans over 23 years.  Growing up in Plano gives a unique historical perspective on PISD.  I have watched it grow from a small farming school district to the large corporate district that it is today.  Moving to Fayetteville, AR to attend college and for my first teaching position also provided an opportunity for me to complete my Master's Degree in Educational Administration.  After 3 years in Arkansas, I joined the PISD team at Special Programs in 1997. My husband's job took us to live in Long Beach, CA where I worked in the inner city Long Beach area of Signal Hill.  Then we moved to St. Louis where I stayed home to be with our children, Chloe and Isabella until they were school age.  I resumed my career at Bowman middle school when my husband's profession brought us back to Texas.  I have worked at Murphy Middle and now Otto Middle School.   

I have two children, Chloe (21 years old) and Isabella (19 years old) both of whom moved through Boggess, Murphy, McMillen, and PESH.  Chloe is beginning her junior year at the University of Arkansas.  Isabella will be attending as a sophomore. I enjoy all sports, family time, laughing, reading, music, and I constantly set goals for myself to improve daily.  I am thrilled to be part of the Otto Middle School community and culture while I work hard, have fun, and show enthusiasm towards learning with everyone.
