This is Mr. Burnside's first year as Associate Director of Orchestras at Plano East Senior High School. Previously, he taught at Hendrick and Schimelpfenig Middle Schools as the Associate Orchestra Director.

In 2018, Mr. Burnside graduated from Ithaca College Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education.

Mr. Burnside is a member of the Texas Music Educators Association, American String Teachers Association, Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Society, and the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.
