Bio and Education

I am a proud wife and mother of 2.  My family and I spend most of our free time playing sports and are actively involved at our church.  My husband is also in education so we are definitely a family centered around education!

My undergraduate degree is in Psychology from the University of Texas at Dallas.  I began a career as a securities trader while working towards my MBA.  I quickly realized that this was not where my heart was.  I began teaching in Dallas ISD in 2000, where I also coached soccer and cross country.  I moved to Jasper H.S. in Plano ISD in 2005, while finishing my Masters in Education Administration.  In 2007, I moved to Wakeland H.S. to be closer to home.  After moving back to Plano, I came back to my roots in Plano ISD.  I am a Plano ISD graduate and attended Shepton High School myself. I am excited to be a part of the development of Shepton H.S. and the traditions that will be passed down to the students of Shepton in the generations to come!

Courses Taught

I currently teach Algebra I, Honors Algebra I, and Honors Algebra II.  I have also taught Geometry, Pre-AP Geometry, Pre-AP Algebra II, PSAT Team, SAT Prep, and TAKS/STAAR remediation.  In my early years of teaching, I taught a few psychology and sociology courses as well.
