Ms. Stacey Medler
Experience in Education: This is my 13th year as a Plano ISD Art Teacher and my 18th year in education. This is my first year at Hunt and my position is split between Hunt and Schell. I have also worked at Mitchell, Brinker, Jackson, Mathews and Thomas elementary schools in Plano ISD. This is my eighth year to have a split position. I like that I have had the opportunity to teach at so many schools. I have gotten to meet a lot of wonderful staff and parents and teach many wonderful students. I learn something from everyone that I work with.
Background: I grew up in Denton, TX, where I still live. People often ask me why I don’t move to Plano, since I have taught here for so long. The reason is because I live in the house I grew up in, and my mom designed it, so it holds a special place in my heart. Another point of interest is that my mom was also an art teacher in Plano, at Haggard and Clark. I guess it runs in the family. When I’m not at work, I create art using fused glass.
Interests: God, art, animals, children’s books, nature walks, spending time with friends
