Welcome!!!

It is a joy to welcome you all to my Third Grade Dual Language class. My name is Martha Umana, and I am beyond excited to begin a new school year where growth, enthusiasm, discovery, and love for learning will occur. I have a Doctoral degree in education, and this is my 16 year at Plano ISD and my fourth year at Jackson Elementary.  I have taught Kinder, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade; each year is a joy.

When not in school, I spend time reading, doing research, teaching, and gardening. I live in Plano with my husband and have one son who lives now in California.  We love traveling and spending time together.

Es un placer darles la bienvenida ami clase de Tercer Grado Lenguaje Dual. My nombre es Martha Umana y estoy muy contenta de iniciar un nuevo ciclo escolar durante el cual veremos, crecimiento, entusiasmo y amor por el aprendizaje . Tengo un Doctorado en educacion, y 16 ciclos escolares en el Distrito Escolar Independiente  de Plano. Este sera mi cuarto ciclo en la Escuela Primaria Jackson. He sido maestra de Jardin de Infancia, 2ndo, 3ero  y 4to grado, todos ellos han sido placenteros.

Cuando no estoy en la escuela, mis pasatiempos favorites son leer, hacer investigaciones, y trabajar en el jardin. Vivo en Plano con mi esposo y tengo un hijo que  vive en California. Nos encanta viajar y pasar tiempo juntos.
