I was born and raised in North Texas. I come from a large family and now live in Frisco, Texas with my wife and son.
I graduated from the University of North Texas in Denton with a degree in Historical Studies.
I taught history for the first 8 years of my career and then moved into Language Arts where my passion for reading and helping kids has allowed me to inspire them to become better readers. I’m dedicated to learning and I spend much of my time outside of the classroom reading research and learning methods to help my students grow as learners.
In my spare time, I like to go for runs, work in my vegetable garden, play guitar, read, play video games, and walk my dog.
