Jake Bywater

I’m excited to return to Clark for what is my third year in Plano ISD and my ninth year in education.

Though the past year-and-a-half of school has been unpredictable at times, my dedication to our students and work ethic as an English teacher remains the same: I will share the value of reading and writing, not just as a form of entertainment, but also as a way to understand the world and communicate in it. As part of this process, I challenge our students with questions that will stretch their capacity to think and respond.

My additional work experience includes operating a private sports and social company in New Orleans as well as working in research at the University of Cambridge.

Outside the classroom, I officiate high school and college football as well as hockey locally. I enjoy traveling and drinking coffee.

I am looking forward to another year of growth and success with our students!
