Coach Leavell grew up in Rockwall, Texas. He graduated from Rockwall High School and obtained his Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University - Commerce where he majored in Kinesiology & Sports Studies. After graduating college, Coach Leavell taught elementary PE in Rockwall ISD before joining the Plano ISD family.

In his free time, Coach Leavell enjoys a wide variety of hobbies ranging from singing and playing guitar, songwriting, going to the gym, hiking, shooting nature photography, and creating YouTube videos. He can also perform celebrity impressions such as Donald Trump and Christopher Walken - "I gotta have more cowbell." His dream is to travel across the world to visit as many incredible destinations as possible.
