Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Catherine Conner, Librarian

College(s):

Texas Tech University - bachelor's and master's in education

TWU - master's in library science

Teaching History:

I have taught for 30 years at the elementary level in grades 2nd-6th.  The last 3 years, I taught 5th grade science at Saigling Elementary in PISD.  This is my first year to be at Huffman and to be a librarian.

Family:

I have one son named Tyler who is 25 years old.  He graduated from UNT and now lives and works in Richardson.  He is about to be married in September to his high school sweetheart.

Interests/Hobbies Outside of School:

I love to collect sea glass on the beach while living in Florida for the last 10 summers.  I like to make mosaics with broken pieces of tile.  I just recently started oil painting.

Why did you want to start the IB PYP at Huffman?

The global concept of being connected and awareness is of great significance and interest to me.  There is not a better time to find common traits and accept differences.
