Degrees and Certifications:
This will be my 22nd year in the classroom and second at Clark High School. I love teaching and have been able to teach all core subjects at one time or another. I am a Master Teacher in the state of Oklahoma for Personal Financial Literacy and this is a passion I have developed over the last several years. I have attended Teacher in Space training through NASA. An have been nominateed twice for Lifechanger of the year and won teacher of the year from Tinker Federal Credit Union for my work with PFL. I feel my job is to build relationships with students so that they have resources for to when they have questions or concerns it is not about giving them the answer it is showing them how to find it.
The picture is of me shopping for school items over the summer.
I moved from Oklahoma last year after getting married. I have three wonderful adult children. Ryan who lives in Tulsa, OK, Michael who lives in North Carolina after he left the Army, and my youngest Robbie who is finishing her 2 year at Rose State in Oklahoma. I have also participated in Oklahoma's Partners In Policymaking which is an advocacy group for individuals with disabilities that work for change in government policy in the area of disability concerns.
