Ms. Hannah Deaton
Hannah Deaton teaches 7th Grade Science and ESL Science, and sponsors Yearbook Club. This is their first year at Armstrong!
Before becoming an educator, Hannah was a substitute teacher and literacy assistant for at-risk readers, which is where they grew to love teaching! They also worked in the Inorganic Chemistry laboratory at the University of Texas at Dallas, where they synthesized styrene compounds with applications to draw arsenic out of drinking water in less developed countries, which they are very proud of.
Hannah is a PISD alumnus, and graduated from Plano Senior High School before they went on to get their degree at the University of North Texas with focuses in Sociology and Anthropology. Hannah couldn't wait to get back to Plano, and jumped at the opportunity to teach in their old school district!
Ms. Deaton loves all things science (especially physics), doing experiments with the students, and getting to watch the AHA moments all year long!! In their spare time, they like to stay at home and watch Disney movies with their son Elias and their two cats- Tyrion and Scorpia.
