I am proud to say that I am a product of Plano ISD. I attended Hughston Elementary, Carpenter Middle School, Clark High School and Plano Senior High School. I received my bachelor’s degree in both elementary and special education from Stephen F. Austin State University and later received a master’s degree in education from Texas A&M University- Commerce. Recently I completed a second master’s degree in school counseling from Amberton University. Prior to having children, I taught in the Richardson ISD for five years working with children with learning disabilities. After being away from teaching to stay home with my kids, I came back to Plano ISD in 2005. While in Plano, I have taught second grade, ESL, and third grade bilingual. My husband, Larry, is the Wind Ensemble Director at Booker T. Washington HSPVA in the Dallas ISD. We have two children, Jacob and Jessie who both went through the Plano schools and graduated from Plano Senior High School. It has always been my passion to help children in any capacity needed. When I am not working, I enjoy reading, baking, hiking and spending time with my family. I am so excited to be a part of the Gator Family.
