4th Grade Reading, Science and Social Studies

Hello Mendenhall Family! My name is Maya Robertson and I'm looking forward to getting to know each and everyone of my 4th grade students this year. I completed my undergrad degree at Prairie View A&M University and my Masters at the University of North Texas. I found my passion for education while teaching violin lessons to beginning musicians and decided to pursue my certification. I taught Middle School in Grand Prairie, TX for three years where my students showed tremendous growth in their reading levels. This will be my fourth year as an educator and I am grateful to have the opportunity to help my students foster a love of reading. Education is truly my passion. I hope to spark imagination, creativity and a sense of adventure in my students this year. I feel confident that we will have a wonderful year filled with learning and wonder!
