Mrs. Ricole Edwards
I am currently in my 6th year of teaching, but this is my fifth year here in Plano. I taught my first year at a charter school in Irving, TX teaching 6th & 7th Mathematics. I am now teaching 6th grade Honors Math, 7th grade On-Level Math, and servig as the Math Department Chair. I am a graduate of the University of North Texas with Bachelors in Education, Psychology, and Learning Technologies, and currently pursuing my Masters in Curriculum & Instruction- Mathematics Education at the University of Texas at Arlington.
My goal is to help students understand their full potential not only in mathematics, but also in all areas of life. As a teacher, I believe that every child has the necessary skills to achieve anything they put their mindset to and being academically and behaviorally mature are all things I believe I can help my students achieve.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, family, and friends. I like to stay active and physically healthy, so I enjoy working out 4 days a week at the gym. I am also an avid sports fan and love to keep up with the Dallas Cowboys.
My "Why" is to show students someone cares for them, supports them, and enjoys showing them how their uniqueness brings light to this world. I not only want to equip them for success in mathematics, but equip them to face challenges in life with confidence and faith in their own abilities.
