Hello! I am a 5th grade teacher. This is my third year as a teacher and second year at Boggess. I have previously taught 5th grade in Stafford, Tx. Before teaching, I was the head coach for the men's golf team at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. I did that for a few years. Prior to that, I played professional golf on the Cactus and Syemtra Tours.

I received my bachelors degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Arkansas Fort Smith and my graduate degree in Sports Administration from Southeastern Oklahoma State. I know you might be thinking, well how did someone with this background get into teaching? That's a fair thought! I decided to become a teacher while I was coaching. I absolutely loved coaching but wanted to do more. I saw some of the younger kids I knew being left behind in education and I wanted to help with that issue. I want to make sure all my students know I care about them as a whole human first and foremost, then I care to make sure their academics are on point. I truly love being a teacher and hope I convey that to my students!

I am married to my wonderful husband, Blake. We have two dogs, Baxter and Bucky.
