Hello and welcome to English at Plano East! My name is Shawn Haag, and I have been an educator in Plano ISD since 2008. My husband and I moved here from Kansas City back in 1998, bringing our 2 daughters with us. We moved to Plano because even up north, Plano ISD had and still has the best reputation for readying young minds on their post-secondary journey! As evidence of this, my now 33 year old has earned her undergraduate degree from Texas Tech, majoring in Marketing and minoring in Mandorian Chinese, and she earned her graduate degree from my alma mater, UT Dallas. She now works as a data analyst for a San Diego based start-up firm. My youngest, now 30, graduated from the University of Kansas in Elementary Education, and now lives with her husband in Austin, starting her 8th year as a 1st grade teacher.
